Emergency Procedures
Any tenant
with an emergency situation can call 674-9996 or 1-800-300-6713
(toll free) 24 hours a day for assistance. When calling, tenants
must leave their name, address, phone number (or contact number
where they can be reached) and details describing the problem.
Emergency situations include but are not limited to the following:
no heat, no electricity, no hot water, leaking hot water tank, ruptured
pipe, leaking roof, sewer backup or plugged toilet, locked out of
unit with no spare key available, natural gas odour, damage due
to vandalism or break and enter causing security concerns, unusual
noise disturbances, and electrical problems such as sparks or no
power to refrigerator or stove.
Emergencies requiring medical, police or fire department assistance
(including carbon monoxide detector alarms) should immediately be
phoned into 911.
All other problems should be reported to the Native People of Sudbury
Development Corporation office during regular business hours which
are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive, or sent
by email to one of the email addresses listed on this website.
